The management of The Langley Concrete Group of Companies is proud to formally announce that in May, Koni Siva, formally an EIT working in our Quality Control and Production has formally received his Professional Engineer Accreditation from APEGBC.
Koni Siva was formally accredited by the APEGBC as a professional engineer during the month of May.
He joined The Langley Concrete Group just over five years ago after graduating from Engineering at McMaster University in 2006 and has been working as an Engineer in Training under the direction of Mr. William Dunn the Group's Engineering Manager.
"Koni has worked extremely hard, particularily in the last two years, focusing on the design and structural aspects of our products. Prior to that Koni was instrumental in organizing our Quality Assurance team and implementing the required Quality programs, policies and procedures that have allowed us to achieve very high scores in the American Concrete Pipe Associations Q-Cast Certification Program," said Mark Omelaniec, company President.
Continuing, Mark said "We are very glad that Koni is part of our team. Over the past five years he has become an important part of our production team and he is respected by all of his colleagues. His knowledge base on our products and the engineering theories they are based on has become very strong and his input is now sought by the various levels of staff and management in Chilliwack."
Koni will continue to work in Chilliwack strengthing his abilities and skills working as the Production Engineer at the plant facility. He will also begin to be more involved in responding to the many technical inquiries received from various engineering firms and muncipalities throughout B.C. and the Pacific Northwest.
"Koni receiving his accreditation through APEGBC is one more step in The Langley Concrete Group strengthing it's committment to it's customers and the changing environment in the underground civil construction industry.
